# Why build Fusotao Protocol?

All the cryptocurrency holders need to trade their assets on some platforms. The Fusotao team realized that trading on CEXs due to hack cases and DEXs due to high transaction fees and low efficiency and user-friendliness is risky**.**

Trading and investing in crypto carries risk regardless of which type of exchange one uses. Centralized exchanges (CEX) present risks such as hacks and foregoing asset custody, while decentralized exchanges (DEX) present the challenge of high transaction fees and low efficiency.

Fusotao intends to disrupt this by providing a user-friendly order-book based DEX with zero-cost gas, low latency, and high security.
